Online Tools
The online WebSocket tester connects directly from your browser to the WebSocket server you specify. No data passes through tests.ws servers. Connection history and settings are stored in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted.
Chrome Extension (WebSocket Proxy Testing Tool)
Data Collection
The extension does not collect, transmit, or store any data outside of your browser. All WebSocket traffic inspection happens locally. No data is sent to tests.ws servers or any third party.
Permissions
The extension requests browser permissions to intercept and display WebSocket traffic. These permissions are used only for the debugging functionality described on the extension page. The extension does not access browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, or any data outside of WebSocket connections.
Storage
Extension settings and modification rules are stored in Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data stays on your device and is not synced or transmitted.
Third-Party Services

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have concerns about how they handle data.
Data Retention
We do not operate any database or server that stores user data. Analytics data is retained by Google according to their data retention policies. We have configured Google Analytics to retain data for 14 months.
Your Rights
You can clear all cookies and localStorage data through your browser settings at any time. You can disable Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can uninstall the Chrome extension at any time, which removes all locally stored extension data.
